San Diego Weekend

Exciting things are happening this weekend, and we like to keep visitors and locals alike in the loop of San Diego events. Below is a compiled list of what to look forward to.

Friday, Nov. 17th

Salsa Under the Stars. 6 pm-9 pm at the Headquarters, Seaport.

Dance in the moonlight on the Bay, no experience necessary, just an attitude that wants to have a great time and some rhythm. Manny Cepeda will provide live music. The event is free and open!

Saturday, Nov. 18th

Guided Nature Walk. 9:30 am, Mission Trails Region Park Visitor Center.

If you live in the area or you’re just visiting and want a taste of the natural local wildlife of San Diego, then partake in this free 1.5-hour guide on the scenic trails. This is a relatively easy walk in nature, but advise to wear proper shoes and sunscreen, and to bring your own water and snacks.

Kombucha Workshop. 10 am, The Home Brewer

Enjoy sips of locally crafted Kombucha, while learning to make your booch. Instructions include safety and cleanliness, and you get to take your kit home with you!

Sunday, Nov. 19th

Holiday Breath Yoga Series. 10:30 am, Hotel Del Coronado.

Holidays and vacations don’t have to be stressful. Classes are held on the Del’s Windsor Lawn with the beautiful ocean as your view. Cost is $20, and bring your own mat. This yoga series will benefit OG Yoga, a local effort to bring yoga in underprivileged communities.

West African Dance Class. 12:30 pm at Wolrd Beat Center.

Vibrate in a high energy dance class with live drumming under the instruction of Makida Anderson. $12 admission, and positive energy ready to dance!

Succulent Wreaths Workshop. 4 pm- 6 pm, Culture Brewing Co.

Nothing says San Diego like succulent anything and craft beer. Enjoy local brewery drinks on tap while creating a unique holiday wreath. Your $35 ticket includes two pints of Culture beer and the supplies you need to create a wreath, along with tips to keep your succulents looking fresh.
