A Weekend in San Diego

Happy Friday! As usual, I’m researching things to do on the weekends in San Diego. The beautiful thing about this city is that there is always something to do here. However, upon searches I found that we are not waiting for Christmas, It’s already here! So the following list are fun things to do in San Diego, some will be Holiday oriented and others are just fun for everyone!

Family Night Gaming

Friday: From 6 pm to 10 pm at R.H. Fleet Science Center.

While the “Game Masters”  exhibition goes on, participate from the hundreds of games and arcades from the world’s best collection. At 7:15, families can compete with each other on the giant dome screen for a fun adventure! For adults over 21, you can even pay to drink while you play.

Skating by the Sea

Everyday: 11 am- 9 pm, The Hotel Del Coronado

Annually the Hotel Del lights up Windsor Lawn and creates an ice skating rink. Enjoy the beautiful ocean behind you, and the historic seaside hotel lit up. Make memories with your friends and family with holiday music while sipping on cocoa!

Del Mar Craft Beer Fest

Saturday: From 11:30 am – 4 pm, at the Seaside Concert Area on Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Part of the Bing Crosby Racing Season, you can sample 5 craft beers, cider, wine, or cocktails from over a 100 selections. Some will be local, others international, and some specialty seasonal brews with be showcased. Dance by the seaside with DJ music. Entry for tasting is $20, along with admission to the track.

Sip N’ Shop: Small Business Saturday

12 pm – 4 pm

While San Diego will be hosting several Small Business Saturday walks and festivals, there is one that I wanted to point out. Benchmark Brewing will host several vendors who are artisans, and Nana’s Heavenly Hot Dogs for food.

If you want to get the best of Small Business Saturday, also check out Adams Avenue, North Park, South Park, and Golden Hill for walks that feature local artisan shops. San Diego has several creative and artistic communities and craft breweries. So ditch the mall and get something unique this holiday.
